Bill Taylor graduated in fine art from Goldsmith’s college, London University. For many years he taught, but in 1990 up most of his teaching commitments to become a full time artist.

His work takes two distinctly diverging courses. One reflects an interest in vernacular architecture and buildings whilst the other, semi-abstract in approach, is inspired by the geography and geology of the English Lgave ake District where he lives.

He produces his own fine art editions of his work. and recently has been experimenting with digital variations of his paintings.

He has exhibited extensively throughout the UK, where his highly individual watercolour, acrylic and pastel interpretations of the landscape are much sought after. He won a Carnegie “Interpret Britain” Award for his landscape drawings and was a prizewinner at the 1994 British Watercolour Society’s Summer Exhibition.

His paintings have also been featured in several books and magazines illustrating techniques in watercolour , acrylic and pencil crayon.
