My Lake District collection is continually being updated on the Cumbria Tourist Board picture library website. Contact me on 01539 723837 to order limited edition prints of these, or for photographic commissions.
Please click on the links below for further information regarding sales and professional services, and you will be transferred to the relevant section of my personal website at PhotoSight Design. I am also usually available on Saturdays to discuss imaging in Sharp Edge Gallery, Keswick, between 10 am and 5 pm.
  • I offer a highly personalised service using a state-of-the-art scanner, with major price reductions for quantity orders.
  • Archival pigment printing, suitable for artists' limited editions, is available. Prints are made to the same standard as my own offered for sale through the gallery. An unusual Piezographic printing service (4 pure carbon blacks) is offered for monochrome.
  • ICC profiles can be made for your monitor, camera, scanner and printer, to enable accurate colour reproduction and screen proofing. I use a spectrophotometer and industry standard software. This service is limited approximately to Cumbria and the surrounding area, so I can provide local support in setting up a colour-managed workflow.

  • While I currently collect mainly local Cumbrian subjects, I can incorporate 'expressions of interest' for particular locations from potential customers - in fact it is helpful to know what people are interested in! there is no obligation to purchase. Also. please see 'commissions' below.

I graduated from Manchester Polytechnic in Photography, then had a hard grounding in a commercial photographic studio, qualifying as an Associate of the British Institute of Professional Photographers.

This led into cinematography and many credits on television and feature films, often specialising in Himalayan expedition and adventure sports productions.

While retaining my lifelong love of photography, I have now moved very much into the digital arena. I have found that this frees me from my previous concentration on monochrome photography by giving me control over colour reproduction and printing.

At the same time, there are new digital processes for taking black and white printmaking forward, and
I retrained to become a fully qualified digital imaging specialist, in particular in Imaging Science, Multimedia and Computer Graphics.

In 2002, my beginnings in photography came full circle and I joined the other artists at Sharp Edge Gallery in Keswick in order to concentrate on photography again, and to provide the range of digital services listed further down the page to customers.
